0017: “Prends pitie de ma longue misere”

“Prends pitié de ma longue misère” translates to take pity on my lifelong misery, or so I’m hoping with my limited 2 years of French class from high school. It is a quote from a poem by Baudelaire.

Went to see Silent Hill over the weekend with my Dad. Given the fact that I love the movie Brotherhood of the Wolf, which was directed by Christophe Gans and it was written by Roger Avary who is one talented guy I had very high expectations for this movie. The movie looked good, it was very faithful to the video game, and I loved the ending. But if you had no knowledge of the game, it was confusing and a little slow. Overall, I liked it and it was very creepy. Thank God it wasn’t done by Uwe Boll.

As an aside, Christophe Gans wrote and directed a film in 1994 called, H.P. Lovecraft’s Necronomicon.

In other news, congratulations to my cousin Sherry and her man, Jerry for getting engaged yesterday! Way to go guys, you two make a great couple!

Glad you liked the movie. I thought it was beyond fantastic.. Then again, I had some diehard fan following-love for the games. Hah. Anyways. :D Tell your dad I say hi, and that I miss our chatting from Christmas! Tehehe.
