0038: Focus: Alison

This strip goes out to my friend Monica, a fencing goddess who can and does beat the boys. The Aikido idea comes from my friend Mark, also a fencer and all around cool guy.

Barry said, “The Goodman’s Aikido is a tip of the hat to my good, old friend David (Schlomo)Goodman, a black belt in Aikido, and all around great guy, reading us from Israel.”

If you’re looking for a good book to read this summer, try Geek Mafia, I just started reading it, but it’s a blast.

    You’ve got another old friend who is an aikidoist but not a fencer.

    C has been asked to participate in a demo for a new dojo because Sensei thinks that the sight of a tiny girl whipping her father’s butt will inspire people to join.

    Actually, I’m a 5th degree black belt in Isshinryu Karate after 26 years.
    I did Akiddo when i was ten years old.

    And most importantly, I’ve never been “beaten by a girl”

    Had my nose broken by one, but you should have seen what happened to her. HAAAAAAAA
