After X2, Bryan Singer was supposed to direct a remake of Logan’s Run, but instead he chose to do a little film called Superman Returns. He was then going to make Logan’s Run after the Superman film, now however, he is going to direct a sequel to his new Superman film. So Logan’s Run is now in development hell.
Planet of the Apes however did get the remake treatment, from Tim Burton no less. While I thought the film looked great, it wasn’t good.
What the film versions missed was the cheese of the 70′s TV Show versions, of which today’s strip celebrates.
Also you can’t go wrong with the Tom Baker Doctor Who, unless of course you’ve watched the new Who which is good.
